Derby Bach Choir

Welcome to the website for Derby Bach Choir, one of the most highly acclaimed amateur choirs in the East Midlands.

2011-2012 Season

Happy New year from all at the Derby Bach Choir. The next few months promises to be filled with Choral treats. We are thrilled to be beginning 2012 with a specially commissioned English Translation of Bach's St Mark Passion on 24 March 2012. We believe this performance in English will be a first for Derby and the UK and know it will be a special opportunity for reflection during the Easter season.

We will conclude our Easter programme with a an opportunity for everyone to join us in a special come and sing event featuring Stainer's Crucifixion. This will be an evening event at Saint John the Evangelist in Derby and will be open to everyone. See our concerts page for details of how to register.

We are honoured to have been invited to join the Nottingham Symphony orchestra in their May concert at the Nottingham Albert Hall. More details can be found on the NSO Website.

It wouldn't be a Jubilee year without a few Coronation Anthems and we promise not to disappoint with our July concert.
