Derby Bach Choir News

Welcome to our New Look Website!

After a wonderful Come and Sing at Ticknall we are now focusing on our concert "From Bach to Britten" which will be at Derby Grammar School on 6 July.  This is a really popular event with the chance to picnic in the Grammar School's lovely grounds before the concert.  This year it promises to be equally popular as we're including some fantastic pieces in the concert, including Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb, Fauré's Cantique de Jean Racine, Mozart's Ave Verum and Montiverdi's Beatus Vir.  Tickets are available now from Foulds.

Our 2013/2014 programme is coming together and will be published on our events page as it is finalised.  Please e-mail us via our contact page or contact us via twitter or facebook if you would like to know more or have any comments.

Derby Bach Choir was founded in 1959 by Wallace Ross, and has a reputation for delivering high quality choral concerts with a cast of well known soloists and period orchestras.

We are made up of some 80 singers from across the East Midlands (concentrated in the Derby area). We perform our flagship Autumn & Spring concerts in Derby Cathedral, and a full Christmas programme including traditional Carols at Kedleston Hall. We often have Come & Sing events and regularly hold a summer gala concert with a more light hearted feel.

Please explore our website and come along to one of our concerts. If you are interested in joining the choir or have any other questions please contact us, we'll be happy to help.
