Spring Concert

Sat 12th March - 7.30pm - Derby Cathedral

Mozart: Vesperae Solennes de Confessore

Joseph Haydn: Nelson Mass

Michael Haydn: Te Deum

This promises to be another exhilarating Bach Choir presentation. Mozart’s Solemn Vespers from 1780 sounds, on a sheer musical level, simply divine. Six movements of wonderful, religious music, culminating in what is one of Mozart’s finest tunes in the Laudate Dominum. The distinctive and memorable Nelson Mass, arguably Haydn's greatest single composition, stirs powerful emotions, ranging from solemnity and torment to joyous celebration.

We will be joined by the Derby Bach Orchestra, led by Cristinel Bacanu
